A Real Family, in the Genetic Orrery

In Brief

Case Study VIII-b built the genetic orrery as a closed-form scaffold — 995 structural slots, generated by arithmetic, waiting for a real family. This page is that waiting ended: load an actual spreadsheet of names, birth years, and parent references, and the same radius/latitude/azimuth geometry — genuinely equal-area, still built on real genetic distance — renders whoever is actually there, with real gaps left honestly empty rather than padded.

Everything stays local. The data file never leaves your browser — there is no server, no upload, and nothing is transmitted anywhere. Export the People sheet of your filled-in spreadsheet as a .csv file, then load it below.

This reads a .csv export of the People sheet from the Cosmoxenia Family Database template — one row per person, with parent1_id / parent2_id the only relationships. Siblings, cousins, half-relations, and double relations all fall out of those references automatically. A blank parent means an unknown or unresearched line, not a guess.

Fig. 1 — The same instrument as Case Study VIII-b's orrery, now fed by real data instead of closed-form combinatorics. A shell with one confirmed relative and six open slots is rendered as exactly that — an honest gap, not a padded placeholder. A person reachable by more than one real line (a double cousin, most notably) is drawn once, with a trace line to each line it's actually related through.
